Wells and Denninghoff Qualify for World Championship Trials

Follow all meet results here: Day one prelims is in the books and there were several notable swims from Ford Aquatics. The two biggest of the morning were the first two swims of the day. Stef Wells started us off with a blistering 1:58.20 and qualified for this summer World Championship Trials. That swim was followed in the next heat by another blistering swim and meet record. Sarah swam a 1:55.15 with a amazing swim that will put the two girls seeded 1-2 in the event for finals. Sarah also got a WCT and meet record in the 100freestyle swimming a 49.38. Other Ford swimmers who finished in the top 8 include: Geordon Price in the 200 back(3rd) 1:49.52, Karima Chuk in the 500 free(2nd) 4:52.47, Brianna Wilford in the 100 free (6th), Herbie Behm in the 100 free(3rd) 45.04, and Lauren Baker in the 200 fly(3rd) 2:02.19. Geordon, Herbie, Lauren and Karima were all faster than the USA Swimming Junior National Qualifying time.
